The Initial Visit
To save time, you can download and complete your patient intake forms before your first visit. Please bring your ID and insurance information when you check in at the front desk. You’ll then be taken to the exam room. Dr. Mark will perform the following:
- A very thorough chiropractic, ortho, neural, and function exam
- Digital X-rays (for most new patients)
Dr. Mark will focus specifically on the area where there’s a concern. If you want to expand that focus, he can take a full spine approach. He’ll then review his findings with you, so you understand what’s going on with your health. Next, we’ll discuss a plan of care and give you your first chiropractic adjustment.
Please allow about an hour for this appointment.
Subsequent Visits
These appointments, which are brief at about 15 minutes each, usually involve some sort of therapy before the adjustment. These may include hot packs or myofascial release
Do I Have to Go for the Rest of My Life?
It’s your choice, of course, how long you want to continue care. Dr. Mark educates patients on the importance of maintenance and wellness care. Many times patients just want the pain gone. And he leaves it up to them at that point. For others, once they’re released from active care, Dr. Mark recommends that they maintain their functional ability through regular wellness adjustments—about once a month.
